Black Queer Canopy Therapy walks are spaces to connect, build trust, attune to each other, rekindle our ancestral knowing, and slowly mend and heal the disconnection to nature we experience due to histories of colonization and enslavement. Occurring at various parks throughout Baltimore, activities on the walks have included collaborative storytelling around our ancestral connections to land, gratitude practices, some wilderness first aid education, and writing letters and messages to our Black transcentors. We now have a collective journal where attendees store their insights, knowings, and affirmations - which we continue to add to over the course of the walks. These occur monthly - follow our Facebook or Instagram for updates.
