Future Love

I've learned to plant my feet for you, 

So that when you walk into my life, 

I can stand still and be in awe on how beautiful you are. 

I will be standing still with a sharp mind and a warm heart to let you know that I am here to learn you not to hurt you.

That I've been standing on this green grass of mine ready to plant seeds with you. 

Waiting for us to nourish our lives with the fruits of our labor. 

I've become renaissance woman for you; 

The way I've become all of me to become more for you because I won't mind being,

Lover, best friend, protector, provider, nurturer, 

For  you because I know you will be the same for me. 

Thank you for loving me for me and not for what I could do for you and because of that, I'ma move more than the mountains for you, I'm going to move you for you.

I am Naomi Nina, next known as Nina Hues, the poet, spoken word artist, and newly published author.  My art is gritty, it's raw, it always has a sense of home in it; a Caribbean, Queer, Woman from Brooklyn, NY.  Having the ability to create for the rest of my life doesn't only give me a way to express my deepest emotions, it also allows me to give birth to a new self every time.
