Cool Breeze

by Naomi Nina

Cool breeze

Blew me into the streams of your heart.

Flowing in mahogany brown,

I drown in the glory that you are,

I crown you Oshun in the flesh.

You just know how to speak to my sweetness,

Honey kisses,

You place onto my wounds,

Smooth

Like the way I love you rolls off of your tongue

After every

Question on whether or not I can even love me enough to sustain you.

You don't tame me.

You let me run freely

Into the wilderness I call your soul,

The way you ground me

Even in the middle of nowhere,

With paths leading to everywhere you be,

You breathe,

Life into me,

The way you allow me to be.

I be your muse

You be my God.

My God,

I never thought I could worship you.

I worship you,

Even as you lay restless at my feet,

Worshipping me.

The way you touch

But don't go,

How I orgasm when you pour into my growth.

I didn't have to fight you for my peace.

Funny thing,

Pieces of me saw you even with tired eyes,

With lies that kept telling me I could never find a you,

A you,

That reminds me of everything so beautiful.
